She doesn't. Listen closely - she sings above the backtrack. Especially at the end.
I don't understand why she never had a real solo career. But she's also brillant in songwriting and producing.

@blackshogun77 the performer was in the studio singing that song. but there was no acoustic drum set, no electric bass/guitar involved in the production process of the song, so why do they put them on stage?

She still rocks, i used to fancy her something stupid and still do. She has made her name and has written some of the biggest tunes to come out the last 10 years. Got lot of respect for this chick !
