Brian was all of 16 when he basically took over the summer of 1960 with this novelty hit, "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka-Dot Bikini". Some music critics called his recordings "Puppy Love Pop", but whatever it was, it definitely sold. "Itsy Bitsy..." went to #1 in July of '60 and sold several million copies.
