really crowded? there's a maximum of 2 people per carriage. Also, there's a safety wire that shuts off the system on contact with your foot long before you lose it (unfortunately).
When you reach the top, the cabin just moves horizontally (no turning upside down or anything) to the adjacent shaft (the one in which the cabins move in the opposite direction :)). It's the same on the lowest level. There's no risk whatsoever, assuming you don't do anything stupid (like sticking your fingers where they don't belong)
But sometimes when you go through the bottom part, little tiny leprechauns with razor sharp teeth jump out of the wall of the shaft and bite your face off. Just saying...
