@NY1love Do you understand the government? I don't think so. The Mayor doesn't run everything, neither does the President. The City Council, Congress or Village trustees right the laws and make the budgets. My point is, how would any large city know how a Rep leadership in the city counsel would perform, if there hasn't been Rep in power for never 100 years? Its a big lie that the Dems are for the poor and the Rep are for the rich. More Rep provide local donations then Dems. Detroit is a mess.

@wsoxman What have the republicans ever done for the poor? Reluctantly allowing a passage of unemployment benefits. A lot of poor there. Mayors cant really control crime. Our mayor used to be Police chief, he knows the minds of criminals, tried to pass curfews (which no one liked, self included), people get in the way of anything that is different.

So give the Rep a chance to fix things. Then if the Rep leadership fails, you can just say Fuck It, Both Parties are filled with liars.

Do you think a Democratic mayor is the only thing that affects the life of a poor person? I don't even want to get into a "republican vs. democratic" argument with you, but what you said was just absolutely stupid. It's an example of someone using statistics poorly. Think about what you said. Then think again. Then try asking yourself if the numbers you threw out are fully connected to the point you wanted to make. If you do this, I think you will find that you made a mistake.

Every major city in the USA is managed by Democrats for almost a century. Funny how they also lead in poverty and murders. Yet the POOR folks keep voting for the "D". What have the Democrats ever done for the poor?
