@shortandsheep: The guy in the car had feelings for the lady who is going to get married. So he is racing to get to her before she says I do. That's why she kinda looks shocked and unsure what to do when he shows up. The name of the song is one million miles away which fits the scenario in the commercial perfectly.
but as the commercial plays, you first think that the guy in the car is the groom, who happens to be late, thats why everyone is worried and hes rushing...but hes not, hence the twist.
There was another commercial that was great like this, I believe it was from Saturn. It shows just the drive train and the car gets built around the driver and the announcer says "first we make it safe then we make it beautiful". It had one of the best acoustic music I've heard but It is the one commercial I can not find. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
I loved this commercial when I first saw it on tv and it seemed to be at trend for awhile for car commercials to have a serious beautiful feel to them. While comedy works well for a commercial, the ones of this trend was like watching a short movie and at times had a deeper meaning other than just buying a product.
