I got my iphone for my b-day like a week ago. I never dropped it or anything. Its as good as new. And ive had this SAME PROBLEM. Also, it I got to the desktop, it start openning random apps and having a "tantrum". I then restart my phone and I goes back to normal but it occasionally comes back. HELP?

the ONLY thing I hate about IPhones (other than the 3Gs's shitty battery but I'm willing to live with that considering how small the charger they gave me was xD and I had the option to wait a week for the IPhone 4 or hunt for a 3Gs... and a long hunt that was xD)
anyways back to my hate... They are just so fucking fragile. I mean we are not supposed to be abusing them anyways, but if they are going to make them so expensive they should also be willing to replace them due to unfortunate events.

Good news, i googled the problem and it seems to be working fine again after shutting it down and restarting (hold the top and bottom buttons in)
Quite a fragile item, i think most people have dropped their iphone numerous times

I have had the exact same fault with my Iphone (3GS 32GB), it's now at my service center for repair, a second time... I hope they replace the screen this time.
i've had my iphone for 3 days, i dropped it ealier today onto a wooden floor from 2 feet high and now the screens touch pad doesn't work... i'll have to wait until the battery dies and see what happens. Not a confidence building occasion for your first apple product!!

lol I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that dropping an iPhone on the floor is the quickest way to no longer have a working iPhone... you can't blame Apple for that, it's not a rubberised Nokia from 1996 ;)
I hope it returns to life for you

yes, i took it into the Genius Bar without any receipt or details, but with the video, and they swapped the whole phone out.
As it is, the casing has developed cracks on the new one, so i'm taking that one back again as well.

go to Apple warranty, I guess.

i was planning to, as i stated in the description. The video was more to document the issue in case others are suffering it as i couldn't find anything online about it.
