This video shows the interaction between vehicles and pedestrians for a hamburger roundabout type which resembles a normal roundabout with the exception of a signalised straight through section.
There are two types of pedestrian crossings in this model: zebra and signalised crossing.
At zebra crossings pedestrians have priority to enter the crossing at all times. Vehicles are required to yield when approaching a zebra crossing and are only allowed to move forward when the vehicle's path does not interrupt a pedestrian's walking path.
At signalised crossings both vehicles and pedestrians take turns to move forward and to enter the crossing respectively during a green phase. When a green man phase is shown pedestrians are able to enter the crossing and vehicles must wait at the stopline. Once the green man phase has expired a red man phase will be shown followed by a green vehicle phase. During this phase the vehicles are able to move forward.
