Garland and Wedington traffic signal Sequence.

If the North facing vehicles travelling along Garland are not stopped at a Red Signal light when the South facing vehicles travelling along Garland see the Green Left Turn Arrow, then their movement is always started with the initiation of the left Turn Arrow Sequence. For N. Facing vehicles travelling along Garland, 75%(3 out of every 4) of all encountered traffic movement dictating light sequences begin with the Left Turn Arrow Sequence. The remaining movement regulating sequence for this
traffic light's intersection Confronts N. Facing vehicles travelling along Garland with Red lights until the completion of the left turn arrow sequence for vehicles travelling along garland that are facing south.

  • I believe that light is based on the NEMA standard ring and barrier design. Hard to tell from your description and the video, but that is the standard design.

  • Ah, brings back memories for me...when I was in grad school at U of A from late 1994-early 1996, I used to go through this intersection at least twice a day to and from classes. Thanx for the trip down memory lane!
