Caught a few today, with really light spinning gear, some spinners and plugs, the BEST way to fish for bass, and man, they hit them lures hard!

and i held it with great difficulty !

If you catch fish this size on live prawn, just think what you could get on live sandeel - not easy to get or keep alive though.

@kerryfoster1 I do use and like sand eel but Never underestamte a live prawn !!!

hey do you ever come down fishing in torquay? i go to hopesnose quite alot. Thinking about getting a new rod and reel but i don't want to get a flimsy reel. How can you tell which rods are good for feathering and spinner ect?

@joewizard100 Hey Joe yeah I fish at Hopes nose but not just yet I fish it around end of July to late autumn, oh dear so your a chicken chucker : ( you can get much better sport on light tackle Float fishing for the mac and gar.
If you need some advise pop dwn to the tacle shop on Torquay Harbour and speck to Simon he is a really nice honest guy who will point you in the right direction tel him Rob sent you : )
