  • Thanks for the comment. We have large body brown egg layers in our flock. Some of the hens get pretty big. I would of kept the flock, but they were old and not laying much. Plus a real hassle to care for them in Illinois winter. So we culled the entire flock. Just ordered 65 chixs & 15 turkeys for April delivery. Can't wait. I love raising poultry. Wonderful birds !

  • Very nice set up! That's a pretty fat hen that you show on the table at the end (for dual purpose, anyway).
