@gsxrk6charlie You can be a free spirit and still be there for your loved ones. I respect the man as a climber, and I'm not against free soloing- as long as your solo. But I think it is a selfish, irresponsible activity when you have children.

@fmby You're right, his children have a free spirit to model themselves after. His daughter has stated that she was NOT left behind and he was a better father to her than anyone and she accepted his death the day it happened.
