The story of young love being interrupted by a man with a hook is one of the oldest urban legends in America. Folklorist Stephen D. Winick of the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress uncovers the legend's origins.

Looking at this, reminds me about a short Larson - The far side segment they showed on TV when I was little. There were two eggs (yeah) making out in a car when they heard the news of a crazy and armed woman that had escaped prison. they heard a noise and saw the crazy woman approaching the car with a electric mixer. In the morning, the girl-egg awakes and find her boyfriend turned into a scrambled egg. Believe me, I was totally freaked out after that!
