@bluejaysj There's one a few miles away on the same hwy now so expect the service to change. With fast food in rural areas nearby competition can have huge effects, especially during peak business hours.

Jacks is one of my top ten favorite eat outs. Sadly, they are confined to north Alabama.

Jack's fucking sucks. There's nothing good about it. That's why it's localized to Birmingham, Alabama because no one there has any goddamn taste. Fuck you Jack Caddell. You dead piece of shit.

This show is up on YouTube. Search for "memory loss tapes hbo". His segment starts around 1:03:00 and isn't easy to watch. Cousin Cliff meant a lot to those of us who grew up with him. What a role model and inspiration he was.

Saw HBOs special on Alzheimers. I had never heard of Cousin Cliff but it was obvious he made a lot of ppl happy..His wife should be commended for letting HBO share her last month with Cliff during that very difficult time...

Rest in peace, cuz! Thanks for the WONDERFUL memories.

Rest in Peace Cousin Cliff :(
Jack's Hamburgers - No relation to Jack in the Box.

Ummmmmm, no. Jack's was named after the first name of its founder, Jack Caddell.
Caddell is long gone from the picture, but Jack's still exists in the B'ham area. I'm with tattoodtruckr - fries and tea are worth the trip, but their Big Bacon is my weakness.

There was never a Jack in the Box in the Birmingham, Alabama area.

Not unless somebody was operating one out of their guest room somewhere in East Lake or over in Ensley. Hey, anything's possible.
