@WhitePaws The books WERE in fact written for children, and have unfortunately received several highly acclaimed awards for children's books, including the Carnegie Medal. According to the author, unabashed atheist Philip Pullman, "My books are about killing God." Yikes.
Google "golden compass kill god" and click the snopes link... Snopes.com bases their entire reputation upon the accuracy of the information within their site.
This is not my opinion... I'm merely restating documented facts.

I have a sneaking suspicion that some people used the term 'illuminati' and put a negative spin on it. But LOTS of words have been misused. I guess that is why English is such a manipulated language.

I really like this video. You obviously know what you're talking about, and you're also very pretty.

Also, the term "Illuminati" does not refer to anything "evil". That's rather the superstitious notions of conspiracy theorists. There are many credible available for the public (and many not-so-credible ones purported by the "New-Age" movement) on Occultism. Having read nearly 100 of them, "The Occult" seems more of a quasi-science which talks about things that we experience in our everyday lives but don't really investigate rather than anything having to do with "Aliens" or anything farfetched.
I disagree with you in the recomendation of the movie.
The books we're not written for children. They were written for adults and are suited for late aged teens.
And so should the movies be. If the movies are marketed to children this will lead to censorship and loosing de spirit and meaning of the book.

Yes when-referencing this society. I don't think children should watch/do ANYTHING without adult accompaniment/mentorship... that means everything should be allowed to be questioned/answered... and an adult should also be there to guide the child through such an overwhelming manipulative technological system.
The media is already dangerous to our fully developed brains... and it is such a disgusting realization that children choose TV over breakfast...
f'd up! bahhh!
