From 'The Edges of Twilight' - The Tea Party at the height of their majesty. Gentle, Appalachian/bluegrassy twinged song from what I consider one of the greatest albums ever recorded.

  • yo cat, dontcha think it fell off after transmission a bit? Tt, mantra, cmon.

  • Definitely. There are a few great songs after Tx, but Edges and Tx were their peak, I'd have to say.

  • vee, any info on JM/Armada touring? I chk'd myspace and other areas, no luck, but, one posted comment on u indicated upcoming tour???

  • They're playing, but I haven't really been paying attention as to where. It's nowhere near me, so it hasn't been on my radar.

  • wow! who is this guy?! he is good. i never herd this kind of style before. strange. and poetic.

  • The singer/guitarist is Jeff Martin. The Tea Party broke up a couple of years ago. Jeff is solo right now with a band called The Armada. Check out The Tea Party's discography from 1993 thru 1997. It's great stuff. They were more popular in Canada and Australia than anywhere (they're Canadian). Truly a hugely underrated band that flew under the radar for a long time.

  • Jeff Martin is as close to a shaman we have in modern day rock music.

'The Edges of Twilight' is genius.

  • my fave canadian band.. I remember seeing them in '98 on the Edgefest tour and being entranced by them, they were simply amazing.

It is too bad that people have a tendency to disregard them as no more than a clone of The Doors or Led Zeppelin, while I admit the similarities are there, they still manage to come across as there own entity, and have created some great albums.. "edges Of Twiilight" being my personal fave :D

  • @taxthyass Mantra I actually quite liked...Triptych was a bit hit and miss, some damn killer songs (Halcyon Days for example is one of my all time favorite TP songs ever)...but I thought they actually did a hell of a job recapturing their older sound with Interzone, it seemed like a perfect middle ground between Edges and Transmission. Seven Circles was a major disappointment after that...it has it's strong points (Luxuria for example, kicks ass) but never lived up to Interzone's promise

  • This whole album reminds me of doing acid and smoking pot in high school. Warm summer nights.

  • Most of the videos for the album: Edges Of Twilight are creepy, but in my opinion, EOT is THE BEST ALBUM OF ALL TIME!

  • My favorite song by them!!! AWESOME AND POETIC!!!!

  • Awesomeness!! This is my fav from EOT. Such beauty in a time of ugliness the 90's they were. These guys were a spiritual rarity I"m glad i got to see them perform live.
