Very true. Most people don't want to hear the truth, it seems--I guess it's "too much trouble" for them to have to rethink things. This is unfortunate, because any freedom they might have had will soon be gone. Completely. And because of their intellectual laziness.

Regardless of the voting system we use, if the security can be engineered by a human, it can be undone by a human. A representative republic depends on ..almost entirely...on the integrity of the individuals running it at every level, and the enthused participation of all citizens of every ethos,ethnicity and economic level.True, the rich will always run things,but in our system, we can really give them a lot of guidance and scrutiny or vice versa...and we must.
