The new official name of the kochi team is indi commandos

The Kochi IPL franchise named its team 'Indi Commandos' on Wednesday in an official announcement on their Facebook page.
"We hereby announce the official name for your beloved Kochi IPL team!" read the post announcing the name on Facebook.
"We are now 'INDI COMMANDOS'!!! Check our team logo!" it said. The Kochi franchise is the last of the IPL teams to get a name.


The team also posted their reasoning behind naming of the team. "The 'INDI' stands for an independent Indian cricket team that will go ahead to win a billion hearts. 'COMMANDOS' stands for an elite fighting squad, renown for attacking with speed, stealth and deadly power."
