This started as a PowerPoint presentation I was e-mailed. I wanted to add some music and make it more available to a larger audience. I've tried to find out who the original author is, but I have had no luck.

The Music is Sgt. MacKenzie written and performed by: Joseph Kilna MacKenzie & Clann An Drumma. I sadly discovered that Joe Kilna MacKenzie passed away earlier this year.

May he rest in peace. I'd like to think he's shaking hands with some of the soldiers that this video represents.

Please don't forget to buy a poppy for remembrance day.

  • Sends a shiver down your spine, there's a photo of me in the video at 2:49 I'm the tall one in the blue beret at the re-pat of "Duke" dennis & "Lenny" Lawrence of the Light Dragoons. Would like to thank Iain for adding the photo since most of the boys in red hats & I where crying our eyes out!

  • @83ferreter Thank you for doing what you do. You're a far braver person than I am, and my life is a much safer place becasue of that. God bless.

  • Ex PWRR 2nd battalion here.

I've lost friends in Afghanistan, I broke my neck while serving and was medically discharged but everyday I wish I could be back there with my mates.

Thank you for this video, I cried and I'm still getting tears thinking about it.

I know those still serving appreciate all the support they receive.

  • Regardless of wherever you believe its right or wrong the boys who fight deserve respect. All the very best to ones fighting it least we forget the glorious dead.

  • we will never forget any....those sadly lost, or still "serving"......bring them home x

  • Ex RCT did the last 2 years of my 6 running around Belfast in civvie cars unarmed, nothing though to what they are doing today. They have my respect and admiration, come home safe.

  • They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

    We will remember them.
