A song that is said to be inspired by one of the kings of Scotland who used to go about the country disguised as a beggar to spy on his subjects and have his wicked way with any pretty young women he came across. This unfortunate young woman has heard the story and thinks she's managed to bag a King and get pregnant, thereby gaining some kind of Royal pension. Sadly she's just been violated by some flea bitten stinking old git with bad breath, there you go, that's life!
Accompanied on Guitar Bouzouki by me, Bruce Michael Baillie. As sung by Andy Irvine in Planxty.

  • Hi again, I tune it AEAE, the notes just seem to fall under your fingers!

  • Fantastic! Congratulation to your fine new instrument! i'd love to see what you are playing, your left hand is mostly out of the picture.

  • Nice to hear from you again Klickstarter, I'll try and get my left hand in next time. It's difficult because the Flip Mino camcorder I use has a square screen.

    Thanks for your comments!
