Well, this shows the importance of Winter Tires to those who thinks these rally-inspired cars could still go in their standard summers.
I believe both cars are equally good on the snow. Love seeing STIs and Evos in the streets during winter when M3s and C63s are parked away elsewhere.

subaru all the way. mud and snow tires. stock pretty much everything so far. she is a awd mountain goat. dont get much snow down south. but plenty of rain adn mud and dirt to drift in.

Conclusive proof, not really. Either car you buy is a win. Its likely that you may one day end up on snow in summer tires and have some level of comfort that they do work at a minimum. Lesson here is buy snow tires for your STI or EvoX so you have a little more assurance that you won't park it into a tree.
When is the media going to actually have a test on the snow between the STI / EVOX we can actually believe there is a clear winner?

this video is just something cool to watch as far as seeing cars slide. but for a test it is a joke. in those conditions you should have at least all weathers tires if not studded. So the fact of having summer tires and turning all traction control off you are not testing shit except maybe the different driver's skill to try to control the cars. but the point of this test seem to be to tell which car is better on ice, not which driver. so for their intended purpose of the test - EPIC FAIL

Things wrong with this video:
1: No winter tires.
2: Circuit changed between cars.
3: Different drivers = Different skill
