Disinformation - Does not work
-
i will try it on my daughter tonight! gave her a half teaspoon of honey after her prescribed cough "suppressant" did not suppress anything. she is sleeping soundly if she wakes again tonight. it will be honey in the tummy and vicks on the feetees with her cozy socks.

i don't think vapor rub is good either. i read about a runner that used muscle creme and died. too much of a good thing is always bad. the runner was using lots and lots of it and the sweating had a bad counter-action with it. so on a small child you never know how much is too much.

I would guess the runner was using an anti-inflamitory creme which is a totally different thing. Vicks if I'm not mistaken active ingredient is only menthol which is
natural as far as I know. Not that natural things can't cause problems.

That's what my mother told me to do with my kids and it worked. Yanno these old wives tales work

There's nothing like experimentation in the field. Yes, some of these folk remedies really do work, and if they worked for our mothers they will work for us. I'll need another foot rub before bed. ;-)

Ive heard of rubbing it into the chest, never heard to rub it in the feet. Its worth a try.

I don't know why it works, but it seems to. Vapo-rub on the chest is a good idea, and if it works anywhere else, that's a good thing...
