Yer banging it out too fast. Don't rush your strumming. It's a triplet and that high up you can let your estring ring for a while.

@4rch3nemy yes, i tend to play songs at a faster pace than the original. It just felt natural at that pace and I made it my own

Well all i can say is good work on my favorite song, It is just one of those songs that grab you and you done it a good justice, I am working on it myself but i am no singer, But well done that has to be the best version i have heard since Tom Petty.

Glad you liked it! It is one of the few Petty tunes that I feel like I can sing comfortably.
