ust a question guys... I tried to jailbrake my ipod touch 3.1.2 before it work perfectly fine... But when i turn it off and turn it back

The itunes wants me to uprgade my version to 3.1.3... When i did, bam!! Back from a scratch!! I lost all my info/data and apps!! Even when i downgraded it, its still gone.. Plss help.. What should i do next time?? Im very eager to jailbreak my ipod.. Tnx in advance..

i have a question for u... i have an iphone with firmware 3.1.3 but with the modem baseband of 5.12.01... i can't seem to unlock it cuz of the baseband 5.12.01.. do u know a way to downgrade the baseband?
