Shot 1-18-10 3:30pm, storm runoff is impounded by Devils Gate Dam in the Pasadena Arroyo just below Jet Propulsion Labs. The Station Fire burned the hills behind JPL and now winter rain today created an incredible witches brew of ashes, soil and debris.

Public Works staff indicated the controlled outflow was approx 700 CFS. Unfortunately, this muck will merge with the LA River in a few miles and then gets dumped into the Pacific Ocean via Long Beach.
