On Saturday, June 11, 2011 Colorado's Regional Transportation District in cooperation with City and County of Denver traffic engineers tested the operation of four-car trains in Downtown streets. H-Line trains ran through the central loop every 15 minutes to test signal timing and train operations. Previous tests were carried out with non-revenue trips. On this day, the long trains ran on scheduled services. In spite of the difficult economy, rail ridership continues to rise; transit and city officials are working to alleviate the crush-loading conditions in peak hour travel.
