That plant of your great great grandmas is a Hoya plant, I have one, its almost 40 years old! I love when it flowers, clumps of little pink hard flowers that look like candy!

That 2nd mystery plant from your Great Grandmother's front porch is the same mystery plant I have growing from my grandmothers home some 20 something years ago. I also snuck a snip!! LOL. It's still growing great. Once my grandmother passed on..I actually got the pots that she grew her's in. So the plant and the pot are once again back together. Everytime I look at it..I'm reminded of my grandmother.

if you use lemon scented dish soap with water, in a spray bottle, you will get rid of them without having to change the soil

Hello! I've actually used the soap before and it didn't work out for me. We must must have some mean flies around here!
