I have some 6 1/2 inch triangles I would like to use to make this block. What size do you think I should make the contrasting strips?

You can make a turnover by cutting a 6"x6" square in half diagonally. Jenny does have a wonderful smile - and I hadn't even noticed all the polka-dot happiness going on here until you said that ;)

Jenny, I am so frustrated, because every time I try to post something it goes under the name of "MrTruthtalker" and I don't know how that happened, and I don't know how to change it. I am not very savvy on the computer, but even worse on posting things. So sorry . . . JoAnn in Arizona

If I want to make my own turnovers, is there a template for that??
I love your tutorials, and your wonderful smile. You must have a zillion sweaters that always seem to co-ordinate with the background quilt. Bet you didn't think anyone noticed! . . . thanks, JoAnn in Arizona

With 14 inch blocks, you could use 2 turnovers to do 4 across/5 down (58"x72.5" before borders) or 3 turnovers for 5 across/6 down and 5 turnovers for 6 across/7 down. Choose what works best for the queen size you desire. Have fun!
