A couple of major events in 1914 played a big factor in what Wilson's Presidency actually amounted to. Within several days of each other, Wilson's 1st wife died from illness and World War 1 began.

@CSATexan it's funny how many people forget what a social Darwinist liberal relativist Wilson was. Not to mention a flaming racist. The only President that I'm aware of that openly showed "The Birth of a Nation" in the White House.

Wilson also did more to hamper free speech and liberties in the US more than anyone before or after the war.

just to clarify, the first red scare was supported by wilson. Wilson was not a Marxist, he actually was afraid of a marxist plot. He enforced the espionage act of 1917 in order to target bolshleviks. Actually i would argue that throughout american histry progressives and liberals were MORE anti communist and did more against communism than the right. the tenents of liberalism and progressivism conflict with communism. so please glenn beck lovers SHUT THE FUCK UP and watch the video :)

@conservativesunited, You're obviously a complete psycho. You trash Woodrow Wilson and Teddy Roosevelt? Both are considered top ten Presidents. Woodrow Wilson was a great President of Peace. He was progressive and introduced the eight hour work day, pushed for child labor laws, and helped get Women's suffrage. He was a great President, as was Theodore Roosevelt.
