@ticklemepurple86 Honestly, there is a lot more diversity these days than before and 28 isn't by any means too late. My boyfriend turned 28 not too long after we started first year and he isn't having any problems :)

How is class time vs studying time divided? FOr example are you in class for 8 hours then study for 8 hours?

@yellowmunster I'm not sure how to answer this. Nobody dictates how much time you must spend studying. Typically there were 8 hours of class daily during year 1 and 2, but I rarely attended if you watched the video. You do what works for you but for everybody except geniuses it's well more than 10 hours a day.

Does it truly matter where I get my undergrad from? I want to go out of state for college, but my mom wants me to stay in-state to get my undergrad. What would you recommend?

@Skelamore It matters in the sense that some places will groom you more for med school. Give you more guidance, give you connections for volunteer or research opportunities. I came from a public university and my experience getting in was *worlds* different from my step-brother who went to Princeton. We both ended up in med school, but he had a much easier time of it and ultimately had more options despite similar grades and test scores. But do what you want, it's your life :)

@DoctorishQ, Assuming that family practice is to much to handle, because of all the paperwork, low pay etc, what field would you say is the least time consuming as in being able to live a regular life after residency?

@Iaosman001 So.... yes, lifestyle is an issue but I really don't think that's the way to pick a specialty. If you're looking for a high-paying 9-5, medicine is probably not the right field in general.
