Two Sasquatches Shot and Killed (Part 1): Justin Smeja Interviewed January 1, 2012

On October 8, 2010, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Justin Smeja and his hunting buddy allegedly came upon an adult Sasquatch and two young ones. Smeja says that in the confusion that followed, he killed the adult and one of the juveniles. Here is his story.

Just getting a chance to listen for 1st time. I find it troubling that this spoken account differs somewhat from the written account that I've read on the Bigfoot Forums. There's not a lot of room to type a long response here, so all I can suggest is that you listen to this, then read the account on the forums. Justin goes by "General" on there. Long story short, from the differences mentioned, and some things I'm picking up on here- I now have more doubts...

@impossiblevisits Let's just say it deals with the early parts of the story. How he felt, what he thought he saw, and why he shot. I'm not saying their are huge holes in the story- but to be honest I happen to be in a field where I deal with people everyday, and must guage whether I trust them or not. I picked up on some verbal things, and tones that I didnt like in the interview. Could have been nerves, but this has been discussed so many times- it should be old hat by now.

@Dee64191 I agree. He states the "Driver" told him repeatedly NOT to shoot. He claims he thought it was a "Man in a suit" and that there would be a film crew behind the hill. He makes it clear he knew it wasn't a bear; the species he has a tag for; and yet he shoots it. I mean he poaches it. He illegally kills an animal he claims he doesn't recognize; and between the two of them, neither he, nor the Driver manage to take any photos. What part of this B.S. are we suppose to believe?

First of all these aren't apes and they are not animals.. they are a humanoid very close to us. Anyone who shoots a non threatening creature that is clearly not an animal is a sick individual. He wasn't in any danger. Basically if it is true its almost the same as murder. Who knows if it's true or not but. There are soo many hoaxers out there that you don't know who to really believe.

@buitrami No doubt but why use regular rifle ammo unless your life is in danger? I always wanted some group to go out hunting what ever and bring along a tranqulizer gun just in case they happen across one then they could knock it out take hair and skin samples as well as blood and it remain alive and safe assuming they couldnt bring in the body so its win/win,stupid idea I know but I can always dream right lol.

@dungeonexplorer1 true but if you go into the woods with a rifle with an intent to kill a bigfoot for proof, you may very well kill a human in a suit horsing around or trying to play a hoax. If that happens, you will be convicted of murder.

@buitrami true but if you get a body and dont try and make profit of it like that jack ass did with the minnesota ice man then science will be forced to accept them as real and then all states and countries will declare them an endangered species and work to learn about them and protect them maybe even gather up their D.N.A for a database so they can be cloned and brought back if they was to die off.
