Cafe de la Opera is a taste of old-school Barcelona at its finest. It's a great tourist attraction, in the best sense of the word. It's a real, living place with smartly-dressed waiters (and never one bit rude!), fascinating local personalities, numerous travelers passing through, and a handful of crazy characters for flavor. (I think I filled the quota for the last category that day).
