I'm now spending a lot of time on You Tube catching up with all the fantastic rock, soul and pop music of the last 60 years but I have this saved to favourites and this music opens YT for me every time. 1950s England, cottage gardens, country lanes, thatched roofs, open top sports car - you can tell I'm a dreamer!

Thanks so much. This is the first music I remember hearing!

@luxyaltz219 Your upload is saved to favourites and opens YT for me. I shut my eyes so I don't see the pictures, listen to the serenade and plan where I'm going to go next. What made you upload this tune? What else do you like to listen to?

@frankjurga Ok ...in the meantime just darken your screen so you only hear the tune and not the images .Best wishes .

@luxyaltz219 Dear Sir, Can I challenge you? I listen to this tune several times a week and the one thing I don't want to be reminded of when I go on YT is war. WAR IS STUPID. Can't you change some of the pictures so that tens of thousands of your subscribers to your wonderful upload don't have to see guns and killing machines. Best wishes

@frankjurga The opening credits says '' pictures of Dublin old and new '' with no reference to war at all and as I explained in previous posts ,this tune is one of my earliest childhood memories when growing up in that city and the military inclusion is just Coincidental (although sub conciously I might also have been aware of my Irish heritage to ) but I do take your earlier point about perhaps using more subtle images with the the song.

Nothing to do with Queen Elizabeth, or her Coronation. It was just a nice tune that Ronald Binge wrote. The publisher said it was very pleasant, and wanted to know the name. "It hasn't got a name... what do you think?" "Well, it sounds like some sort of "Elizabethan Serenade" "
"That will do. That will do," said Ronald.
Have you heard it sung in German? That's nice, too. Got handbells! :-)
