@Slurrps Ironic thing is that it is still happening to Middle eastern vets.

Actually, the Americans were wanted there. Look up the battle of Xuan Loc. The price the ARVN fought to defend their freedom. There were good points, and bad points to the Vietnam war. To say that it was totally one way or the other is called REVISIONIST HISTORY.

He was enlisted awhile before Vietnam. He wanted to show the gooks they couldn't simply get away with something that wasn't theirs. If they hadn't lost 1 Million troops they probably would've kept going.

Who invited your Grandpa there? What had he fighted for? Why did he go there? What these Vietnamese did to America to send there these troops?

You have no experience in the Military. So keep you made up Civilian thoughts to yourself.
I talk to my grandpa sometimes about it, usually it bugs him really bad. He was a door gunner in a UH-60 Black hawk. He saw is buddy right behind him splatter in gore, and has shot a little girl in self defense. Their is more but you have no respect.

That's why you are bias. OK. It's your right.

Nope, Grandpa is a Vietnam Veteran.
-
Oh, yeah. That's what you are told by our great propaganda machine?
-
We only invaded Vietnam because we didn't want the Vietnamese to get use to taking over.
Peddle your hatred somewhere else. Have you forgotten the Mung, the Montagnards, or even Saigon?

Absolutely, the stupidity of our people was truly shameful. Those men fought and died, and deserve respect. God Bless our vietnam vets
