Havasupai Trip: Sorry for Partying

Havasupai. Cliff jumping, rope swings, pools, rivers, swimming, laying out, hiking, caving...basically an oasis in the Grand Canyon and one of the best places on earth.

A lot of people complained that it didn't look the same after the floods...and although that's true, don't let it stop you from having an awesome time. It didn't stop us.

The trip was July 27 - July 31 2010 (including driving days). Perfect weather, perfect water. Perfect everything.

I just went in September and there wasn't a rope swing at Rock falls :( great vid! what program did you use to make it?

@Mr1976Hoosiers bummer, man! i went two years in a row and little things like that were different both times. and i used adobe premiere to make the video; it's pretty straightforward and more than enough for this type of thing.

Excellent! I've been dreaming about this place since 2005. Your camera looks really good, too. I got on their web site and it's closed right now because of the flood. Hope it opens by March . . .

@iclimb14ers My camera is actually just a little Canon ultracompact, but it takes pretty nice HD video. I bought an underwater case for around $20 and put in on a lanyard. Worked like a charm.

@tcsurvivor03 you don't really have a guide. you just call, make a reservation for a certain number of people and show up. i love it because you can go anywhere and do whatever you feel like doing.

i had been before though, so i knew my way around a little bit.

been there many times..but not to the lower falls....awesome!!!
