@Hazzbazzy The word isn't an acronym for anything, it's just short for MAD MOVIE, which is a fan-made video.

Which can be a wide genre, as such アニメ means animation...so all アニメMAD is, is the eastern term for anime music video.

AMV is the western term, in essence there the same thing...people have this confusion that only Japanese music can be a MAD but thats not the case.

@LordBreadcat To me that's something thats been made up on youtube/some western site in recent years....just to try give it an abbreviation like amv, i've never seen it abbreviated on any Asian website i use like that.

I'll stick to what i think it is from my own experience.
