very rare have I seen a pirated copy of an older video game. today many people can produce copies of 360, ps3, ps2 games. But to actually create a catridge with a label would take alot more work.

  • @MN12BIRD did this year you make cartridge aladdin? answer me. why you have this old cartridge game this year?

  • im plenty of games like that

  • Just plug it in Pal version of Sega and it will work as hell :)

Those cartridges are often phenomenon in Eastern Europe countries :)

  • had to travel far to buy the originals back in the day (97-98?), so just used to head over to the local electronics shop downtown, and used to buy these in stacks! :P

thanks for bringing back the memories

  • I've played a ROM of a pirate Aladdin cart before. It ended up being the SNES version I think.

  • track and field music rocks

  • @ProjectReality64

yes you can. that notch in the side is there becuase this was most likely produced for the asian market. in asia they have japanese-like mega drives which have a feature that locks the cartridge in place when the console is turned on by sliding a piece of metal in the notch. i have a lot of pirated games like these, they all play perfectly. but you're right, some pirates remove the sega logo from when the game boots and/or the title of the game. sry for false grammar!

  • i've got a lot of sh!t like this

  • the reason probably why it didn't play is because the genesis has a copyright protection screen. If you don't see the "produced by" screen when you turn it on it didn't pass the copyright inspection it does when you turn it on

  • At first I thought It could be the PAL (European) cartridge, but that ones different too.

If It`s a copy I don`t see why it would not contain the game as old "roms" are not too hard to come by and I know that flashing Nintendo Nes games are possible. But if It`s really a true attempt at fooling someone I find it strange that the creator did not at least google the real cartridge. The notch at the side are for Japanese megadrives with cartridge lock.

It may be a replacement cartridge.
