in my opinion lennox lewis has been,with muhammad alì,the greatest heavyweight boxeur of all time...and i say this even tough i've been a real mike tyson's fan...

i suffered too much that night...and I had to admit that there was no match...it's true that mike was no longer the REAL iron mike,but lennox had every necessary skill to be a great:very long arms,power and an incrdible techique skills,especially the jab.the best tyson too probably woul'd lost against the mature lennox...

i think lewis is the best hvywght ever! lewis had evander n tyson in his era, ali had fazier n foreman in his era. in anyone's opinion who wins between these 2 era's? lewis vs ali? foreman vs tyson? holyfield vs frazier? in every matchup imagine each fighter at his absolute peak. anyone give me ur opinions on the matchups or mix'em up gimme tyson/frazier or lewis/foreman watever matchup u wodda loved to seen. love 2 hear ur opinions

Tyson - Entertainer.

Lewis - Boxer.

You can't compare and contrast I love Tyson but when he get layed out by Lewis it told me who the boxer was.

Fair play to lewis ,he beat everything put infront of him,would he of beat a prime tyson and holyfield im not so sure,i doubt hed of lasted 3 rounds with a 22 year old tyson

@MrStash1982 If Tyson had boxed in the 60's he would have just been a sidenote. Foreman broke peoples ribs, thats how hard he hit, if you can be Foreman's punching bag for 8 rounds you are good to go with about anyone.

I dont think you can compare era's in boxing, Could Ali have lay on the ropes and soaked up a 20 year old Tyson's shots the way he did with Foreman??

@herodot2 LOL. Tyson ran from Holyfield in 89/90 and had to pay a contract violation fine to Holyfield. When Tyson got the courage to face Holyfield, it was only after Holy was washed up, he was a 20-1 underdog!

Or Lewis and Holyfield were lukcy to face the post-jail Tyson, instead of the ferocoius fighting machine of the early 90s.

Well besides Ali, Jack Johnson and Joe Louis rank above Lewis for sure. One can make a case for Lewis being somewhere between # 4 and 10 all time, in the mix with the likes of Larry Holmes, George Foreman, Sonny Liston, Jack Dempsey, Rocky Marciano.
