@Norseman870 the US looks terrible if you look at charts of various treaties (such as on cluster bombs) that much of the world follows that we don't. Check out the company we share of other countries who use the death penalty. Justice can't be determined by company, but the brutal, dictatorship-type nature of much of our company, raises questions, I believe about our nature. To ponder: "Why do we kill people, who kill people, to show that killing is wrong?"

@kaeldegrey Death Penalty, huh? What about where Jesus stopped the Jewish religious leaders from stoning the adulteress? His statement "he without sin shall cast the first stone implies that no human authority should be given the right to execute people. The death penalty is considered unethical by most of the world. We don't do as good a job taking care of people in the US as most of the western world. Our residual view on welfare for ex. just doesn't work. Study others success

@kaeldegrey Well I'm not liberal. Also I'm not convicted about these other ideas. "4 wars?" Which are these? Hitler killing Christians? I've never heard of much of this except in the case of the execution of D. Bonhoeffer, who was part of an assassination plot, or in other cases of Christian resisters such as the White Rose. Christians have unfortunately taken part in many evil things throughout history such as the genocide in Rwanda.

@Norseman870 which was hopefully not too repetitive. I meant to emphasis how I just couldn't apply to my faith to the situations I wrote about without seeing the pairing of it with another certain thing as wrong, or unjustifiable/unexplainable. Thanks

@Norseman870 similar to supporting the KKK. How can we be a witness to the world if we do not lift up the redeemed equality of all in Christ? I believe that talking about Jews as "chosen" destroys this balance of equality by raising some higher than others.  This is not to say that I have all the answers or that those who disagree with me are bad Christians. It's just that I can't reconcile my faith with violence and what I see as equality. I know I said "reconcile" many times,

@Norseman870 wrong is the well documented human rights abuses by Israeli against Palestinians. There are regularly reported cases of where Israeli soldiers look the other way when Israeli settlers harass/beat Palestinians, sometimes even children. I could easily support this claim with documented evidence. The US should stop sending military aid to Israel. Overall finally, I believe that supporting a "chosen Israel" is unreconciled with good Christian world citizenship. It seems
