hiya - can u contact me? ive just been given one of these and wondering how to string it and clean it up for playing!! nylon or metal strings?

how do you tie the strings on? are they ordinary guitar strings and if so what size gauge etc? i play guitar so am vaguley in tune with the thing!!!

@henzobenzo , cheers. this is instrument is basically a mandolin. so buy a pack of mandolin strings (metal).
i use a plectrum. i tied the strings on normally.
look up any mandolin websites for more info.

its tuned GDAE.
the two tunes are called:
The Chicago Reel and Down The Broom,

it cost £58 and came with its original (slightly tattered) case.
its in decent condition, although one of the tuning pegs is a bit fcuked.
