Prof Josep Torrent i Farnell is Co-Chair of the Programme Committee of the European Conference on Rare Diseases. A former chairman of the Committee for Orphan Medicinal Products (COMP) at the European Medicines Agency, Prof Farnell is also Director of the the Dr Robert Foundation, Autonomous University of Barcelona an organisation devoted to continuing medical education and postgraduate training. Full professor of Pharmacology, Therapeutics and Toxicology.
