Monson residents ask that people STOP driving through gawking and taking pictures. So many are working so hard and grieving. If you MUST drive through, then stop and HELP.

Got a tip that folks in Monson really needed volunteer cleanup help. Packed up saws and sleeping bag. Really great bunch of people there, the sort you can't do enough for.

Went back again ASAP, and not only for the home-cooking at the church.

This vid only shows damage along main street (Rt 32). MUCH more damage to the east and west, up on the ridge-lines. Kept us busy cutting up fallen trees for hauling to the tub-grinders. Plenty of work for all. Somehow nobody killed in Monson.

Please, call a truce and feel the blessings of being alive! Everyone reacts so differently to disaster and loss…. I lived in Monson for eight years, have family and many friends that still live there.

I am awe struck and blessed that none of them where directly affected!!!

My heart bleeds for all those affected by this storm and am praying for a quick recovery for all!!!

Thoughts and prayers for you all in Monson. Had to pick up the dog from Camelot Kennels. Terrible to see what you all went through last week. I tried to get in and out of town as quickly as possible so I wasn't in your way of the clean up process.

@TacomanStudios Truly a misunderstanding, not to worry. I am a grief counselor soI know everyone is under a great deal of stress and feeling many differing emotions and they vary from moment to moment--so easy to misunderstand words, especially in print, and depending on how we feel when we read them--no tone of voice, etc, but no, I certainly did not single anyone out, just asking that everyone be respectful and help when they can. Glad we straightened this out. God bless.

@TacomanStudios I am baffled as to how you saw me as singling you out of the other commentators, or that I was making any argument against you, or anyone else for that matter. I simply stated that Monson needs helpers, not drive-through gawkers who are creating traffic jams and getting in the way of workers--a very simple statement, meant to help, and if you can't understand that, then gee, I don't know what else to say. I never said you were causing a problem.This is as simple as it gets.
