I agree, the blackface depiction (as well as the girl in bikini ) was uncalled for. What's even more interesting is that you equate fair skin with beauty. I happen to believe that Allah intended us to view beauty in every variation of His creation. Fair skin does not equal beauty and dark skin does not equal ugly.

Hmm.... I've got mixed reaction to this. Kudos to all those who were involved in making this video for not seeming to find it the least bit racist (at least I assume you guys don't find it racist - eg: why was the 'Indian' guy's face painted black? I happen to know an Indian guy who has very fair skin and quite handsome!). But anyway, I hope no one feels offended watching this (malays, chinese, indian etc). Aisey.. I miss Malaysian food now... *sigh* :)
