This little walkin' hopper is for fellow YouTube user, fellow record scavenger, fellow Casa Loma Orchestra fan and the high queen of Atomic Vinyl Zombies herself, "sideshowtink". :)

Make sure to stop by & check her channels out at:

http://www.youtube.com/user/AtomicZom... - for her muse-ic. ;)

The only reason I can come up with that Gray had to omit the "Casa Loma" moniker here is because, at the time this record was made, the band was under contract to Brunswick records under the "Casa Loma Orchestra" name (Glen Gray's name would be added permanently a year or two down the line) and, as such, couldn't be identified as that on a different label. But, fear not - this IS Glen Gray and the Casa Loma Orchestra. ;)

    You bet, Tink. :)

It's Friday & I thought this bit of rare Gray might be a good week topper. ;)

Oh man - I wonder if Bix may have stuck long enough to make any recordings? I know that the Casa Loma Orchestra started recording in 1929 (OKeh) under the name "The Orange Blossom Band" (changing to "The Casa Loma Orchestra" sometime in 1930) - you know when Bix attempted joining?
