  • i just love the old western movies that buster crabbe and al st john did together. THEY WERE GREAT!

  • absolutely one of the best actors and a favorite of mine

  • Buster Crabbe went on to do many westerns and television shows. He played the lead in "Captain Gallant of the Foreign Legion" on TV with his son, Cuffy. The last appearance I remember him making was a cameo as "Colonel Gordon" on the Buck Rogers TV show in the late 70's. He was in a comedy called "The Comeback Trail" the year before he died. I believe he also owned a swimming pool company. When I was a kid, Buster was my hero.

  • Buster Crabbe disappeared in WW2. Read about at Lionel Crabb - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

  • My Uncle Buster is a legend....It's properly pronounced (CRAYB) with a long A sound. But pronouncing it (Crab) really doesn't offend any of the family we are proud of the family name.

  • larry's acting is far superior for sci-fi serials!...he was on loan from another studio and he never got paid one cent $ or any royaltys for the 3 flash gordons...(other than he became a household name) and eternal legend of science fiction for the next 10000 years!...sci-fi never forgets its roots!

  • larry played flash gordon and buck rogers!...so his serials motivated a generation to send astronauts to the moon! the archetypal...aquarius (olympic gold swimmer)...water zodiac sign...and futuristic electric rocketship...sign...1908-1983 he witnessed biplanes to the space shuttle in his life!

  • @luccho663...you say crabbe...just like crab the seafood...the e is silent!

  • Guys, I'm not a native english speaker. How do you pronounce "Crabbe"?

    Thanks!

  • Very enjoyable tribute but I must admit that I have never seen a movie with him. He definitely was a stud but jeez--aren't we all lucky that the styles of bathing suits have changed for the better !!
