Many people have home disasters using toners - Hence why I've made a video explaining all the tricky bits and giving my advice as a professional. However, toning can be easy if you know what you're doing and you know what you are looking for, and how they work! This is a must-see video for all you bleach blondes or likewise before you DIY it. Products I used were: Pro Oxide creme developer, Koleston Perfect by Wella in 10/16(grey violet ash blonde) . Also available in the "10" selection: 10/81(blue grey ash blonde), 10/89(blue pearl ash blonde), 10/61(violet grey ash blonde), 10/0(natural blonde), 10/03(natural gold blonde), 10/1(grey ash), 10/4 (warm strawberry blonde)

  • @xxaprunexx can you use any 10v developer with the 10/16? because the koleston pastel developer is soo expensive ugh...and do you leave it on for 15 minutes like most violet based toners or do you leave it on longer(i am looking for a very white blonde and just bleached my roots but im looking to tone my whole head to freshin up the color)..in the past i have been useing the wella white lady t18 but was not that impressed and heard 10/16 is fantastic and im excited to use it! plz help?!

  • @platinumlove13 Yes you can 10v works perfectly. Just buy pro oxide or something they are like £1.90 per bottle! You can leave it anytime between 5 and 20 minutes depending on how it looks and how fast it is taking on your hair. The 10/16 is brilliant for toning yellow out as it contains violet.

  • great video at last someone who knows what there talking about please please can u help me i have medium brown hair although i am only concentrating on the fresh virgin regrowth i have applied goldwell topchic very light ash blonde with a 30 vol its lifted a lot but its brassy is it safe to reapply and is there anything i can put on to get rid of the golden tones.i knnnow of someone who applied goldwell topchic 10 p and its a nice shade of blonde please help thanks

  • @baserobo1 It is safe to reapply, just keep an eye on how it is lifting and make sure you keep wiping a strand clean and pulling it between your fingers to make sure the strength of your hair is still good. You can apply 10/16 or 10/8 with pastel or any 3% volume developer as shown in the video. Once you achieve a nice colour, top it up weekly by washing your hair with a silver shampoo

  • Hi there! I watched your video, but I'm still not sure what steps I should take. I put blond highlights in my hair yesterday. I used the quick blue powder with a 40 developer. I have a medium brown hair color (with lots of natural undertones). I left it on for about 40-50 minutes. The highlights are pretty brassy in many parts and kind of yellow in others. What should I use/do to tone this down without ruining the rest of my hair? I want it as blond as possible.

  • @bathedinshadow Hi the toner will not affect your darker hair so you can apply it all over. Use half of 10/16 and half of 10/8 mixed together with 3% (mixed sloppy) and leave it on up to 20 minutes or less until you see it turn the colour you want. Keep ontop of this by using a silver shampoo every few washes. These toners are so gentle they will not damage your hair, they only deposit tone
