  • oh dear, yes there will be errors when you have created star trek films and episodes spaning 40 years but for fuck sake can we not just enjoy what we are watching rather than pick holes in it all the time and argue about it for the rest of eternity....... sad bastards seriously

  • @Martyn4291 It's possible to enjoy Star Trek as well as finding errors. They can be like tiny delicious easter eggs that suddenly pop up after watching an episode for the n'th time.

  • @erlendaakre you are right completely and i do like it when you notice a continuity error and have a little laugh over it just bugs me when it gets to the point where all the uber geeks of the world take these errors as an insult to there beloved make believe existance and then go arguing about it, its just a bit much

  • Well, believe it or not, most comments here seems to be from Trekkers/Trekkies, and very few seem insulted. It's kinda creepy, like a Twilight Zone episode where there are just nice and mature comments on Youtube.

  • @erlendaakre That would not be semantics they are two different weapons & as for any error's I've watched those shows carefully & the only errors are when Archer's crew had an experience with the Ferengi but when introduced in TNG Starfleet had no history files on them but then again Archer's crew never found out their species name and also when Scotty is beamed out of his 75 year transport & mentions Kirk coming to his rescue when he must have known about Kirk's death as he was there

  • @Marky11694 I don't really see the big difference between phasers and phase pistols. Both are directed energy weapon that fires a beam that can stun or kill people. except for the wide beam + "disintegration setting" which are practically never used, they are functionally the same. Maybe all those years in a transport buffer caused a light memory loss

  • Picard should have said that there's no money in the 24th century ON EARTH. All of those clips were referring to or dealing with an alien culture that DOES use money.

  • They probably couldn't set their phasers to maximum in DS9 because they'd have brought the cave down on their heads. :)

  • Oh heck, people, half the fun is the errors...

  • @2:26 the reason Troi managed it and no one else did was simply cos Troi kicks a**... lol.

  • @Marky11694 phase pistols seems to be exactly the same as phasers in function, but I guess this could be semantics. 2. one I haven't heard before, I guess he could subconsciously be aware of the moves the Vulcan would make to a certain degree.

    3. yeah, the whole telepath/empath thing has been mentioned like 5 times already =)
