Animation I created within Motion on the Apple Mac's. To basically show what a Sine Wave is and how it moves!

  • Technically, shouldn't the wave not move across the screen, only the wave front should propogate but any given point should still fall on the same point on the x-axis. Like a rope tied to a tree and oscillated up and down, the wave front moves along the rope, but the individual points only move up and down. But the animation is still well done!

  • for a moment i thought there was gonna be a screamer

  • This is what happens when you have the trigger off and the sweep frequency is a little slower than a multiple of the received frequency.

  • Thanks for posting! I'd like to use this as a representation of a sine wave in my perception class, if you don't mind.
