What three questions should I ask my web video lighting guy?

These are all very important and are common problems in many small businesses, but it's the responsibility of the website owner to know the online marketing or consult a professional. An online marketer is going to know how to use the algorithms of different major search engines for SEO, backlinking, and all of the nitty gritty details. A web designer doesn't know that! that's not his specialisation. If that's what you're looking for then it's the responsibility of the business owner.

Good video, and I would have to agree with tony over henry.
For my first website I solely focused on the design and added content once every few days. Needless to say the website failed and I learned that people really don't care how your website looks (Although some cases may vary if the site was made in the 90's, haha), but if you have quality information that is wanted then you will find that getting traffic and sales becomes that much easier.

I agree with the above. Getting something to go "social" only provides short-term success so getting real visitors is key.

no. : ( sounds like you're marketing yourself sir. those 3 things are not necessarily a web designers responsibility. For instance, the engineers that designed GM's cars are not solely responsible for the cars poor sales. How about asking the designer about the type of CMS they will be using instead?
I kindly beg to differ Mr. Plant. Too many biz owners spend lot's of money on websites that don't get found organically and are not properly designed to capture leads. If the engineers of GM designed cars that people wanted then sales wouldn't be an issue. It's just that there are better choices same as web designing. Would you rather have a "pretty" website that no one can find or one that guarantee's you leads? CMS has nothing to do with a prospect finding your site. Gotta get them there first
