On Wednesday, a Chinese court sentenced five men to death. They were convicted for involvement in the ethnic violence in Chinas Xinjiang region in July. The violence had left hundreds dead.
Nine others, mostly of the Uighur ethnic group, have already been executed since Chinese authorities launched a so-called strike hard campaign in November. Authorities blame unrest in the region largely on so-called separatists and hostile foreign forces.
Uighur groups overseas, however, say Xinjiang Uighurs are largely nonviolent—but are unhappy with the Chinese regime over its repression of local culture, and ethnic discrimination against Uighurs.
NTDTV's official YouTube Channel got taken down for some weird reason, so I thought it would be a good time to upload some of their noteworthy videos again and it's also to remind you guys that you can actually still find ALL their programming on their website: http://english.ntdtv.com - So just cause Google is probably bowing to China again doesn't mean they are gone - go visit their website, they don't only have news on human rights in China, but have 24 hour programming with live streaming.
@remotecont888 same goes for any country, look at the US, they're trying to get wikileaker assange by any means necessary.
