0:38 he has a ring on his right hand. In the original video he wasn't wearing a ring. So he must be an actor.

This is amazing.....brought a tear to my eye. Even Jim Hutton seems to be touched deeply as if he just saw Freddie again for the first time. Wish they could do this for tours with Queen. That would be asking a bit much, wouldn't it. We still love you Freddie & Queen Forever!!!

Someone has said they used a digital technique called 'rotoscoping'. It's used to make CGI films and to project an ''all round'' picture onto an actor/actress/impersonator. So, in theory, you could have James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson etc etc brought ''back to life'' by clever computer bods. Brilliant, but probably very time consuming. Still love it though, wonder what Mary Austin made of it? Probably made her cry like it did all us true Freddie fans. :)

Will someone please explain in plain english how the hell they did this:-

a) Was it film projected onto an actor/singer dressed all in black

b) Did they use some sort of screen that the image was beamed onto and then on to ''Freddie''

c) Why didn't they ask Brian May and Roger Taylor to do the backing instead of ''extras''?

Freddie was a true star, I was lucky enough to see him live twice and its forever etched in my memory, still miss him and his talent after all these years. RIP Freddie

@Lambrusco93 Nope, not an actor, what you are seeing is a rehearsal shoot for the official video. This is Freddie Mercury rehearsing in front of the camera and was previously unreleased footage, its definately all him .He must have decided to take the ring off when it was time to film what was to be the official video, the only time an actor was used was for the distant shots and/or when Freddie was walking on and off the stage.

I like how in the full body camera shots of Freddie you can see the reflection of his shoes on the shiny floor, that is a very nice touch.
